POLITICS: Wild Jubilation In Ilorin As Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Returns From US

There was wild jubilation by loyal supporters to welcome the senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki Tuesday afternoon as he visited his home state, Kwara.

Bukola Saraki just returned from a trip to Washington D.C., United States of America where he led a National Assembly delegation on a Parliamentary visit which his handlers said was "meant to strengthen parliamentary and diplomatic relationship between Nigeria and the United States."

The visit, sources, said, was also meant to celebrate Saraki's recent victory at the Supreme Court over alleged non-declaration of assets.

Supporters of the acclaimed Kwara 'strongman of politics' thronged the Ilorin Airport to welcome him as they sang his praises. Some of them were seeing carrying placards with inscriptions asking for direction toward the 2019 general elections.
