Kidnapped Zamfara Worshippers Working in Bandits' Farm as Labourers

The 44 worshippers abducted from a mosque in Zamfara community last Friday have been subjected to physical labour on armed men’s farmlands.

Residents said that the bandits had called to tell relatives that the captives were with them and working on their millet and sorghum plantations but had yet to demand ransom.

“Our millet plantations are due for harvest and the captives must do the work for us,” one of the bandits was quoted as saying by a resident, Abubakar Bukkuyum.

Last Friday, bandits abducted dozens of worshippers from a central Juma’at Mosque in Zugu community of Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Residents said the armed men hid their guns inside their clothes and stormed the mosque when the Imam was about to start delivering sermons and they asked those on the premises of the mosque to get inside.

“No one saw them with guns and many people mistook them as worshippers. Nobody paid attention to them because they hid their guns.

“However, shortly after they moved inside the mosque they brought out the rifles and fired some shots as a warning.

“They herded the congregants into the bush but some of the worshippers managed to scramble out of the mosque to safety. The muezzin was among those kidnapped but the Imam was able to escape the assault.

“Some those who were outside the mosque were also abducted.

When contacted for an update, the spokesman of the police in the state, SP Muhammad Shehu, said search and rescue operation had already commenced.

How Primate Ayodele Prophesied William Ruto’s Victory as Kenyan Next President Against All Odds

It’s definitely not a good time for the former prime minister of Kenya, Raila Odinga following his unsuccessful bid to overturn William Ruto’s election victory at the Supreme Court of Kenya.

Raila Odinga had failed to accept the election result that saw William Ruto winning against all odds and decided to seek legal means to nullify the election or declare him as the rightful winner of the election.

Odinga in his voluminous petition submitted to the Supreme Court alleged that the election was not fair enough and that the portal of the IEBC was opened for Ruto’s camp to manufacture numbers to favour them.

However, the supreme court of Kenya has thrashed the case, stating that there was no evidence to prove the allegations especially for the fact that the IEBC was able to prove its credibility in court.

This development has no doubt fulfilled the prophecy of famous Nigerian prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele which he released a few days after the election. The man of God who prophesied the victory of William Ruto gave a warning to Raila Odinga, urging him to accept the result of the election instead of going to court.

This warning was published on top Kenya news website, Kenyans.co.ke, and these were his words

"His Excellency, Raila Odinga should accept the result of the election in good faith, his time has elapsed and trying to compromise will only dent his image. Attempts to upturn what God has done will only lead to crisis," (https://www.kenyans.co.ke/news/78604-nigerian-prophet-primate-ayodele-who-predicted-rutos-win-warns-uhuru).

Few days later, the man of God warned Odinga again not to waste time going to court because God has given William Ruto his victory. This was published on top Nigerian news website, Daily Post and these were his words

“My message to Raila Odinga is that he shouldn’t waste his time any longer, William Ruto’s victory is sealed, court or no court, God has given him the victory.Stop dragging Kenya backwards; God has great plans for Kenya under the administration of William Ruto; the country should not be dragged backwards against the wish of God with battles from parties that lost the election, victory has been sealed already.” (https://dailypost.ng/2022/08/22/presidential-election-dont-go-to-court-god-behind-ruto-primate-ayodele-warns-odinga/)

As the man of God warned, Raila Odinga failed attempts to upturn the victory of Ruto has indeed shown that the time of Odinga to become president of Kenya has elapsed. Odinga should have listened to the warnings of the man of God, maybe he would not have faced a second defeat like this.

Long before the election, Primate Ayodele had warned Odinga not to accept the endorsement of President Uhuru Kenyatta because it would be a dent to his victory in the election but he never listened. He had thought, just like everyone else, that the backing of the incumbent president will have a positive impact on his election but as it played out in the election, Odinga was described as the president’s project and this was a factor that led to his loss in the election.

Ademola Adeleke's Opponent, Dotun Babayemi, Dares Osun PDP on His Expulsion *"it's a joke, they gave Aregbesola's men everything my camp demanded for"

Factional candidate in the July 16, 2022 Osun State PDP gubernatorial election, Mr Dotun Babayemi, spoke on his grouse with Ademola Adeleke, the INEC-declared winner of the election.

How would you describe your expulsion from the PDP, especially at a time the party is still celebrating its victory in the recently held governorship election in the state?

It’s simple. I can say it’s a charade orchestrated by a band of jesters who are afraid of even their own shadows. Seriously, it contradicts logic that some people within the party in their wisdom or lack of it always like to ruffle feathers for their selfish interests and sinister motives. We know them and their antics. They came out with this latest shenanigans they called expulsion when they failed on other deadly fronts. As for me and those supporting me, we remain undaunted and unfazed. Like the Yoruba would say, ‘awon na ni isoro’ (It’s their problem). So, as for me and my teeming backers across the length and breadth of Osun State, we are very much in the PDP. My purported expulsion carried out by some surrogates has been a long-drawn script by some few greedy lord of the manor who don’t feel comfortable with people like us who have decided to challenge them for the good of Osun and its people. Don’t forget, I’m not alone in this journey; I have respected leaders and elders of the party behind me.

Who are the leaders that are with you?

By the grace of God, a former governor of the state, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola; a member of the party’s Board of Trustees, Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun; and Dr Olu Alabi, among other respected leaders of the party in the state, are solidly behind the cause to emancipate the party from a few individuals who are bent on making everybody to kowtow to their feet. Never! It will never happen.

Your reported expulsion from the party was linked to absenteeism from meetings and litigation. Do you intend to withdraw the case in court against the governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke, based on this development?

All the so-called allegations by these frustrated individuals are not only laughable but are equally cheaply nonsensical. I say so because the allegation of absenteeism is too infantile coming from little minds and their sponsors. I want to challenge the masqueraders behind this plot to a popularity test, not only in my hometown, Gbongan, but anywhere in the state and let’s see who blinks first. Me, absent from my local government since 2021? Common, that’s too cheap a lie!

On the second leg of your question, I think we have gone past the stage of withdrawal. They have crossed the line. I say so because at some point, I had agreed to forego my legal pursuits, on some conditions though. They spurned these opportunities due to their self-conceit, greed and winner-takes-all mentality. Just about four weeks into our efforts at bending backwards for peace to be achieved at all costs, they said we should forward a proposal containing our demands. We did but up till now, we didn’t hear anything from them except this purported expulsion. Even at that, they have not stopped abusing, vilifying and even threatening my life and those of my supporters. If one may ask: When has it become a crime to seek redress from the law court? After all, even the present Osun State PDP caretaker committee chairman and others installed by the national headquarters of the party sued the PDP and heaven did not fall.

What were the conditions you listed in your proposal for there to be peace?

The conditions date back to when the Eyitayo Jegede (SAN)-led reconciliation committee came with none seeing the light of the day. For instance, towards the presidential primary of our party which eventually produced Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as our party’s candidate, we agreed as midwived by Jegede’s Committee after about eight hours that the Adeleke group should take 20 delegates while we make do with 10. We all agreed. But unfortunately, in their usual manner, they reneged by taking everything at the end of the day, thus leaving us in the lurch. Thank God, those in the Eyitayo Jegede’s Committee are very much alive, they can testify to my claims.

What were the other demands?

One out of the three senatorial tickets, four out of the nine House of Representatives tickets and 10 tickets of the state House of Assembly, out of the 26. They said they wouldn’t give anything and they didn’t as of now and I doubt if that can ever happen again given the situation we now find ourselves in. Funnily enough, they found an ally in Aregbesola’s TOP (The Osun Progressives), a group the Adelekes prefer to release some positions to. We are keenly watching how their marriage will last. At every opportunity, we have always heeded calls for peace. The vice presidential candidate of our party, His Excellency, Ifeanyi Okowa, at the behest of our presidential candidate, Atiku, in conjunction with some party leaders, intervened with all these conditions clearly spelt out. All still came to nought. The most annoying thing is the fact that all contestable positions allowed by the constitution were contested by members of our group. For instance, for the governorship, out of the six of us that obtained forms, we were five until one left for another party. All of us paid over N21m each. Similarly, across the local governments, forms were obtained and paid for, for House Representatives, Senate and House of Assembly. As they spent money, we also spent money.

It's Strange People Don't Understand Why ASUU is on Strike -security expert, Ayoola

Ayoola

An education enthusiast and security/trade expert, Adekunle Adebayo Ayoola has said that it is unfortunate that many Nigerians think that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) had embarked on a six monthly old strike to push for an increase in salaries.

Adekunle Ayoola said that he was always sad when many parents, critics and analysts on Radio and television stations are always quick to blame ASUU for the ongoing strike alluding to reasons why the lecturers had been on strike to agitation for an increase in wages.

The security expert explained that whereas, the leadership of the union under Prof Emmanuel Osodeke has always shouted that the strike is about preserving our public universities and ensuring that they have what it takes to continue producing graduates that could help to add value to the country's development.

He said "central to this avoidable industrial dispute is the pleading by the ASUU that the government should sign and begin implementation of the 2009 renegotiated agreement between the union and Federal Government.

"At the core of this agreement that was also said to have been examined again and again in 2020 and 2021 is the issue of funding for our universities among others such that the all-encompassing needs of the universities on infrastructure, researching and training, remunerations among others would have been taken care of.

"There's no doubt that the dilly-dallying posture of our government in proper funding of these ivory towers has left many of them in sorry condition and this should not be allowed to continue", he said.

Ayoola disclosed that it might be essential for ASUU to publicise as widely as possible the agreement it entered into with the federal government to halt the misconception some people have about its desire to save the public universities from further rot and of course, to ensure that Nigerians who could not afford the exorbitant cost of private university education could access government-owned universities.

He said "though both the federal and state government have complained of lack of resources to meet ASUU's demands which are for the good of all in the country, given the place of education in the overall development of any society, governments at both the federal and state level must begin to show genuine commitment to ending this strike.

"The government should stop going back and forth over an agreement it wilfully entered into and which had been examined and renegotiated over and over again. The government should be sincere with proper funding of our education sector. No country jokes with the education of its citizens and gets clapped for, FG should help end this strike now!".

How God Changed My Life Story -Evang Awoleye

After waiting for 25 years before God terminated fruitlessness in her life. A thought provoking and striking testimony, Evangelist Foluke Awoleye has declared that, "I will continue to give God undiluted praise all the days of my life."

Gospel music evangelist who is set to celebrate her 30 years in the industry revealed that the celebration will be purely thanksgiving and praises for God's faithfulness in her life.

"God lifted me from nothing to something both Spiritually and Physically. I waited for 25 years before I conceived through the grace of God, now my music ministry is 30 years, what else can I do than to praise His name continually".

Narrating her experiences in the last 30 years, she said, "we have been stranded in so many places in the past but God pushed us through. There was a time we can't pay for our studio work. Atimes no vehicle to take us out for ministrations and so many others. No doubt the beginning was tough and rough but today we thank the Almighty God for His faithfulness".

On the 30 years in the music ministry, "we see it as the beginning of a new beginning and time to give back in so many ways. All these will be revealed as the plan for celebration progresses", she declared.

Primate Ayodele Begins Construction of NMultimillion 50,000-Capacity Church Auditorium

Primate Ayodele

The Leader Of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has begun the construction of a multi-million naira 50,000-capacity church auditorium in Oke-Afa area of Lagos State.

The auditorium is necessary due to the high influx of members joining the church on a daily basis due to the mighty manifestation of God’s power in the ministry of Primate Ayodele.

The prophet who once revealed that he started the church with a little above 20 members made it known that the expansion of the church auditorium is basically a result of God’s instruction and not for personal glory. He explained that God has blessed his ministry with increase and in order to create more space for the thousands of people that throng the church premises during service, there is need for the expansion. Apart from the church building, Primate Ayodele has built a multi-million naira digital office that is set to be commissioned soon.

‘’INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church is a movement that started with God and still remains in God up till now. This is a ministry God gave to me and blessed with so much increase over the years. We started with about 20 members and never envisaged that one day, we would grow beyond our current space. During every service in this church, we normally have thousands of people including old members and intending members and our current space can’t contain us any longer. Due to this reason, there is a need for an expansion and with God’s support, we are expanding to a 50,000-capacity auditorium’’.

‘’It is also important to note that this isn’t for my personal glory or we are copying other ministries, this is a divine instruction from God and a spiritual need for the people of God’’.

In our world today, many believe that the number of church members determines the amount of money the pastor makes but for Primate Ayodele, every church service is always an avenue to give money to the needy, give food items to church members and provide succor for the downtrodden.

INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church has become a haven for the downtrodden in the society; apart from being a place of worship, the needy run to the church and get their needs met. On every first Sunday of the month, every member of the church gets food items worth thousands of naira. Also, during Tuesdays and Friday services, several people with financial needs always get support from the man of God. No doubt, the church expansion is a great advantage to society as it will translate to more people getting help from the man of God.

Primate Ayodele is very well known for his philanthropic activities especially in his immediate community in Oke-Afa where his church is located. He was celebrated earlier this year for single-handedly constructing roads, drainage systems worth millions of naira for the community.
