“Christians have no reason to be scared of ‘ember’ months”, servant of God, Apostle Suleman had cheered his eager audience at Sala Museo De Artista, venue of the 2018 Spain edition of The Supernatural crusade which held between Tuesday 25^th and Wednesday 26^th of September in Valencia.

Despite the widely held and even promoted notion that the last months of the year connote danger with all kinds of negative significances, the ‘Oracle of God’ waives that the 'ember months' phenomenon

 is just one of those myths handed down by man to mankind. Thus, he prayed; “anyone marked for death these ‘ember months’ that start with September, I stand as the Oracle of God to make a public declaration; you are preserved, your family is preserved and all that concerns you are preserved in Jesus Mighty Name. If you think you have seen God's blessings, just wait till October because God has prepared a shocking and mouth opening miracle for you. The so-called Ember Months are your moments of level zero to level hero. Even the devil can't stop your lifting.”

Calming further any worry his congregation might be nursing, Apostle Suleman assures that as long as God be with man, nobody, no evil or institution will ever successfully work against him. “That’s why I walk into anywhere, any day, month or year with assurance of my safety, knowing that nothing can happen to me as long as God protects me,” the firebrand preacher states with a tone of faith.

Preaching, the servant of God affirmed that, the strength of prayer is the depth of the Word of God, adding that, you don't know prayer until you know the Word. “You cannot tie a request to a scripture, and not see a future. Brethren, if you must see answers, you must be deep in prayer and the Word.” Praying for the country while adorning the Spanish flag, Apostle Suleman thus demanded that Spain be guaranteed Kingdom deliverance from evil onslaughts, and be divinely protected.

In the two-day Spain mission that has now come to be known by participants as ‘Gospel of Change’ given its positive fallouts, the testimonies were amazing; from couples who were blessed beyond imagination, successful battles against afflictions, physical and financial transformations, complete life restoration, while every other seemingly impossible was made possible by prayer and special anointing. At the end of the soul-inspiring crusade where many received supernatural deliverance, upliftment and supernatural prosperity, it was all songs of praise for Apostle Suleman for coming to Spain based on the amazing change of names and stories experienced by the participants.

"Customers' Funds Safe" As Polaris Bank Takes Over Skye Bank

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has withdrawn the license of Skye Bank Plc after two years of providing life line to the bank.

CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele while briefing journalists in Lagos said: “As a responsible and responsive regulator and in consultation with the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), we have decided to establish a bridge bank ‘Polaris Bank,’ to assume the assets and liabilities of Skye Bank”.

He said: “The result of our examinations and forensic audit of the bank  have revealed that the Skye Bank requires urgent recapitalisation as it can no longer continue to live on borrowed times with indefinite liquidity support from the CBN. The shareholders of the bank have been unable to recapitalize it.”

It will be recalled that on 4th July, 2016, the CBN took a regulatory action on Skye Bank Nigeria Plc which led to the resignation of the Chairman, all Non-Executive Directors on the Board as well as the Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director, and the two longest-serving Executive Directors on the management team.

Under the current action, the Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON) will capitalize the bridge bank and begin the process of sourcing investors to buy out AMCON.

Emefiele said: “We wish to assure all depositors that under this arrangement, their deposits shall remain safe and that normal banking services shall continue in the new bank on Monday, 24th September, 2018, to enable customers to transact their businesses seamlessly.”

Army Says Missing General Alkali Likely Drowned *see photos

The Nigerian Army has said that its former chief of administration, Major General Idris Alkali, may have been pushed into lagoon by his assailant

The army on its Facebook page Friday evening wrote;

"Update on Search and Rescue Operations for Maj Gen IM Alkali (Rtd). The Nigerian Army in its quest to unravel the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Maj Gen IM Alkali (rtd) has been conducting several search and rescue operations around the last known location of the missing senior officer.


Consequently, the COAS Lt Gen TY Buratai constituted a Joint Task Force comprising officers and soldiers from 3 Division Quick Response Team, Operation Safe Haven, Nigeria Police Force, Vehicle Inspection Office, Fire Service, as well as Local Divers. Several logistics issues including sabotage from the host communities have hampered the success of the operation. 


Due  to the terrain in the general areas of Paddock in Lafendeg Du Plateau State, the task force consulted a Chinese construction company working in that area who promised to assist in drilling out water from the pond where it was suspected that the vehicle belonging to the senior officer was pushed into.


However, the Chinese company was forced to withdraw from their services due to continuous threats and protest by women in the community clad in black dresses.  In the midst of this challenge however, the Task Force continued with its search and rescue operation which led to the recovery of an 18-Seater Hummer Bus door. 


This discovery indicates that there could be other vehicles in the same pond hence the continued protest by the community. Suffice to add that the NA would not relent in its search and rescue Operation until the retired general is found."

"Major Earthquakes Can Now Happen In Nigeria"

The Presidential Committee on Abuja Tremor yesterday said Nigeria is now prone to seismic hazards, which make earthquake occurrence a potential disaster to the country.

Chairman of the Committee and Director General of National Space Research and Development Agency (NARSDA) Prof Seidu Mohammed disclosed this in Abuja yesterday, when the committee submitted the report of their findings to the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu.

“Nigeria is now prone to seismic hazards following recent earthquake occurrences in Kwoi, Kaduna State, Saki, Oyo State and Ibgogene in Bayelsa State all in 2016. The latest occurred on September 7, 2018 in Mpape, Abuja”, Prof Mohammed said.

He said though “these earthquakes may have been of low-magnitude, it is now certain that earthquake occurrence has become a potential hazard to the nation’’.

Apostle Suleman To Christians: Shun Critics, Appreciate Pastors

Pastors are sent to watch over the souls of their flocks. And to teach them how to follow Christ.

 

 

 

 

Many a times, people forget that pastors are humans just like the rest of their fellows. Although they are held in higher standard, like humans that they are, they feel discouraged at times when through pointless criticisms they are pushed to think they are not doing enough even when they are doing more than they should.

 

 

 

 

Servant of God and senior pastor at Omega Fire Ministries (OFM), Apostle (Prof.) Johnson Suleman, lectured in one of his recent services how men of God expend their time and energy and nearly become worn out working for God yet no one seems to see them working and no one appreciates all they do. The servant of God therefore requests of Christians to let men of God know how much they care for and appreciate them.

 

 

 

 

Apostle Suleman teaches that “the greatest gift one can give to his/her pastor is to lift him/her up by publicly appreciating his/ her work and in prayer.

 

 

 

 

“Most of you are in the social media,” he begun; “when you get home after the service, post a message on the social media; Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, Twitter, to appreciate men of God all over the world for the wonderful work they are doing for God. Encourage pastors all over the world. Don’t put any pastor’s name; just post the message to appreciate all of them.  In the message, tell them, ‘no matter the criticisms, there are people that love you. We are part of those people that love you’. Tell them that ‘we love you; nothing, nobody can change our minds’. Nigerian pastors, African pastors, pastors all over the world, tell them ‘we love you’. Tell them ‘we don’t care what enemies are doing, we love you, we appreciate you’.

 

 

 

 

Post the message, send the message. Flood the internet with the message. Post and tell your friends to repost; use these last days of September to appreciate pastors all over the world. Tell them ‘be encouraged, don’t be discouraged, keep moving on’.”

 

 

 

 

According to the ‘Oracle of God’, God has blessed the world with pastors after His own heart; therefore they should be prayed for to serve with joy and not burden.

 

 

 

 

“Pastors have difficult jobs. They must serve the church family and their own family. It really takes a special breed to balance the two. Yet they are attacked without reason. It is a must to appreciate your pastor; give him joy and you will receive joy,” concludes the servant of God.

"I Don't Trust Buhari To Leave Power If He Loses" ...Atiku

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of being undemocratic despite coming to power in 2015 through a democratic process.

Atiku stated this on Thursday when he visited Kogi State delegates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The presidential aspirant noted that Nigerians are presently suffering under the All Progressive Congress-led Federal Government.

“I will continue to express my reservations on the willingness of President Buhari to hand over power. I have a simple and straight explanation for this. When Buhari took over power in 1983, they asked him of his transition to civil rule, then he responded, he doesn’t have.

Expressing fears that Buhari may not relinquish power in 2019 if he loses to the opposition, Atiku said:

“My stand is that one, he is not a democrat. Secondly, he is only using democracy to go back to power. If he loses election in 2019, he must hand over power” Atiku averred.

AIT Barred From Covering Presidency

Security advisers of the President-Elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari on Monday barred the television crew of the African Independent Television from covering the activities of their principal until further notice.  

It was gathered that the security team cited adverse security reports and ethical issues as reasons for their action.

Members of the AIT crew, who were at Defence House meeting between the President-elect and a visiting Cuban delegation, led by its Ambassador to Nigeria, were asked to leave the vicinity until further notice.

The crew, who did not speak on record, insisted they would remain and continue to do their jobs because they had yet to be “formally informed.”

“Yes, we were told but we cannot just leave; we have a job to do. In any case, we have not been officially informed about what we have done wrong,” one of them said.

Director of Press of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation, Mallam Garba Shehu, confirmed the development.

He said concerns over security and the need to sort out some ethical issues were responsible for the ac

tion.

Shehu said, “AIT has been asked to stay aside based on security and family concerns. In addition, General Buhari has decided that they will have to resolve some issues relating to issues of standard and ethics.

“We will be talking with them to try and resolve the matter but for now, the station has been asked to stay aside because, like I said, there are some family and security concerns.

“They have been asked to step down their coverage until we resolve the matter with them on ethics and standards.”

Dangote’s New Flour Product Thrills Bakers

The newly launched All Purpose Flour by the Dangote Flour Mills has tremendously excited distributors and bakers, as they call it “finest and best performing flour.” 

 Bakers expressed their excitement on the affordability and multipurpose brand during the launch on Thursday in Kano.

The affordable price, they say, will enable them to make more profit in their businesses.

About 80 bakers where invited to a bakery where the One-Stop product was tested to ascertain its yield and value addition over other brands in the market.

Chairman of Association of Master Bakers and Caterers in Kano Alhaji Muazu Gidauniya said said he was elated by the new product that has already been tested by his members.

He added that the new product will not displace the old Bread Flour which has been used for years.

A renown distributor of Dangote Flour in Kano and Secretary General of Masters Bakers Kabiru Abdullahi said he was optimistic that the product will move the market.

The new brand, popularly known as APF is part of the company’s strategy to reward its customers and shore up market share in the country.

The APF is produced with “high quality wheat and designed to work for all your baked, fried or cooked flour products: Be it bread, gurasa, meat pie, egg rolls, puffpuff, chinchin and a range of others,” Executive Director, Commercial, Halima Aliko Dangote said.

How APC Will Win Osun Governorship Election, by Oyo Gov. Ajimobi

Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has expressed confidence that the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, will win the September 22 governorship election in Osun State judging by the exemplary performance of the incumbent administration.

The governor said this during the visit of the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 11, Danjuma Ibrahim, to his office, in Ibadan, on Wednesday.

Describing the visitor as an intelligent officer, the governor stressed that the leadership of the police in the zone was well grounded and competent enough to be able to ensure that the election was peaceful.

He assured the police authority of the readiness of the state government to assist the zone towards ensuring that the governorship election in Osun State was hugely successful.

The governor said, "AIG Danjuma Ibraheem is one of the most intelligent officers I have ever met and I can easily predict that he will get to the peak of his career soon. Your visit is heartwarming.

"We are quite sure that the coming Osun election is going to be free and fair and we shall provide necessary support towards this. It is very apparent, though, that APC will win easily because ours is the only party that is on ground and accepted by the people.

Commending the governor for restoring peace and security to the state through the combined efforts of security agencies, the police boss said that the resultant effect could be seen in the socio-economic growth of the state.

Ibrahim appealed to the governor to extend the assistance that he had been giving to the police state command in relation to refurbishing of operational vehicles and provision of Armoured Personnel Carriers and other logistic supports to the zonal command.

He said, "You already know that policing is not easy, especially when you consider the logistics that must be put in place to achieve success. The zonal command needs operational vehicles to assist our operation.

Thieves Storm Leah Sharibu's Parents' Home, Steal Generator, Foodstuffs

Less than 72 hours after getting an award from the Arewa Christians and Indigenous Pastors Association, thieves have visited the family house of Leah Sharibu, one of the 110 female s

tudents of Government Girls’ Science and Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State, stealing generator and foodstuffs.

Leah had been held in captivity since February 19, 2018, by Boko Haram terrorists on account of her Christian faith.

On Friday at the headquarters of the Church of Christ in Nations in Jos during the second anniversary of ACIPA, Leah’s mother and primary school teacher, Rebecca Sharibu, and her son, Donald, came to receive an award.

However, President of ACIPA, Luke Shehu, told journalists that thieves visited the Sharibu family and stole a generator and foodstuffs.

He said, “I just spoke to Mrs Rebecca Sharibu, mother of Leah Sharibu. I told her to tell me exactly what happened. She told me that the people who came to their house were not armed robbers but thieves. I asked her when? She said yesterday (Monday). She said the thieves entered through the fence.

“The picture on the programme of the event for the award is the picture of the house. It is a make-shift fence, which anybody can climb easily. Mrs Sharibu said the thieves entered through the window and then stole their generator and also carted away foodstuffs inside the house. She said they were not armed robbers.

“I told her that she should give the real picture for the world to know the circumstances from a true perspective. Honestly, that was what connected me to them and that was exactly what she told me.

“Once again, the incident happened yesterday (Monday), the thieves climbed the fence, entered through the window, stole their foodstuffs and a generator. They were not robbers but thieves and the family members were not in the house when the thieves visited.”
