The Darker The Night… Apostle Suleman Shares Personal Breakthrough

This story told by Apostle Johnson Suleman about an amazing breakthrough he encountered in the beginning of his life with Christ, really sums up the essence of Christianity. The account suggests that, indeed, first it was night. Then there was light. According to him, the light of Christ broke through the darkness for him in want, and the glory of the Lord shone round him thereafter.

The servant of God who is the senior pastor of the Omega Fire Ministries (OFM) worldwide, shared the encounter that was centered around his beautiful wife, Reverend Lizzy Suleman’s taste for original things. It was about having the courage to demand of God for one’s needs. “Let no one discourage you or pull you away from asking for your needs,” Suleman counsels, adding that, “Christians always win in the end, no matter how long and how hard the path may be.”

He tells his story;

“When I got married, my wife liked new things. If my wife should want anything, it has to be brand new. She doesn’t like anything that is already used. I used to like tokunbo (second hand) cars.

My first and second cars were second hand. Of course, my wife agreed that they were okay but she said she would rather we had new cars.”

“When she became persistent about her desire for a new car, it got me annoyed and I told her ‘car is car, so long it can carry us about’. One time, we were driving around and my wife spotted a new Corolla car and said ‘that car is fine and new’. I was embarrassed. I did not have money for a brand new car, still I went to ask for the cost of that particular car and I was told it cost four million naira.  I thought it was something I could afford so that I could surprise her with it. I was wrong. I said God  forbid, what am I doing with a four million naira car.

“A year later, I went to ask for the cost of that same car, I was told it was now six million. I was down but I had hope that it wasn’t beyond what God could do. I was praying and hoping for God. One day, I was sitting alone and somebody walked up to me. He said he was from Port Harcourt. He brought out a car key and handed it to me. I followed him outside and it was that particular type of car, a brand new Corolla! I called my wife when I got home and gave her the car key. She was shocked. Then she asked if I bought it? I said no, I got it.”

In essence, Apostle Suleman said, he is asking true Christians who seem hopeless, merely trudging on and whose ways may seem dark, to know that the darker the night, the greater the light. “When it goes hard for the world, it goes soft for true believers. The darker the night, the brighter the light. For the path of the just is like a shining light,” he reassures.

Singer Portable Reacts to Police IG Order: APC Deceived Me, I Didn't Form Cult Gangs

Nigerian singer Portable has made a u-turn by denying being the founder of two criminal gangs that terrorised Lagos residents during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Portable had in a now-deleted video boasted that he formed the One Million Boys and Ajah Boys crime gangs.

In a new post shared via his Instagram page on Monday, July 18, 2022, the singer denied being a member of the criminal gangs.

"Clearing the air on this! Zazu!! This has come to an end that I have to voice out… please everyone I wana let you know that I didn’t meant to campaign for APC it was a show they told that am going to before I saw myself in APC office and as a man no need to worry I gats to do the job since it involved money," he wrote

"And what I meant by 1 million boys is meant 1 million followers. People are threatening my life ooo you should all look into this. I GO BY THE NAME PORTABLE OMOLALOMI, I DO MUSIC FOR LIVING."

This is coming hours after Portable said he was the founder of two gangs in Lagos “Open your ears and hear me, you’ve heard about Ajah Boys, One Million Boys, I’m their founder.”

The Nigeria Police Force immediately released a statement about the singer's claims.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi said the Inspector General of Police Usman Baba has ordered Lagos State Police Commissioner to investigate Portable’s statement.

“Cultism: Police to Investigate Portable over formation of One Million Boys Sequel to the trending video of one Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable where he claimed to have formed the One-Million Boys cult group terrorising some parts of Lagos State," he tweeted.

“The IGP has ordered CP Lagos to investigate the indicting statement and take necessary legal action. This directive is premised on the continuous effort of the Nigeria Police Force to fish out pillars and sponsors of cult groups in order to decimate their activities and restore sanity to our society.”

Prophet Iginla Speaks On Tinubu's Muslim-Muslim Presidential Ticket

The General Overseer of the Champions Royal Assembly, Prophet Joshua Iginla has taken shared his view on the trending Muslim-Muslim APC ticket after Chief Bola Tinubu opted for the former Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, as his running mate for the 2023 presidency. The prophet also went further to plead with Nigerian leaders to fix the country.

According to Prophet Joshua Iginla, he wondered why APC would be so insensitive by going for a muslim-Muslim ticket. "I asked myself, in a country like Nigeria with too much strong religious beliefs, why will the ruling party go for a Muslim-Muslim ticket? Why will their presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, go with that view? I asked myself again, if we don't know, we are sounding the drum of war in a place where there is unity, peace and understanding despite our differences. Nigeria is a country for all and does not belong to a particular set of religion. It has never happened before in this country. Why now?

"If we must make Nigeria great, we must allow equity, justice and sensitivity to be the watch of the day for our leaders. I am pleading in my heart, this was not the Nigeria I was born to. This was not the Nigeria that our great heroes fought for. What is going on? Our leaders, please save us because the Muslim-Muslim ticket is a sign of war".

Meanwhile, the prophet also touched the issue of insecurity when he commented on Kuje prison break. He said the Nigerian military is among the best in Africa but wonder why the country could not replicate that standard in her nation. He further said the security bodies should wake up.

Speaking on Kuje Prison attack and a message to Nigerian leaders, the prophet said, "Kuje prison break is the one that left me speechless. Why? It happened in a country with the highest ranking military capacities in Africa. Sometimes I ask, is it not the same military that fought wars in Africa and came out victorious? The Giant of Africa has now become the sleeping brother of Africa. In the history of this country, we have never experienced such a thing before.

"It is because of insensitivity of our leaders that insecurity increased in this nation. If they are conscious of things to happen, they will take a step to remedy the issue. In Nigeria, before anything happens, the signs are clear if only our leaders can be more sensitive to detect them on time.

"Finally, this is my message to our leaders. I am sorry to say this, many of our elected leaders don't feel the pains of the masses. Please in the name of whatever you hold dear, fix this county. This was not the Nigeria my parents told me about".

Prophet Joshua Iginla started by saying, "As a pastor, my phone rings everyday. What are they asking for? They are looking for food to eat. Today, a Dollar is about N600. Today, our diesel is up to N800 per litre. Today, there is insecurity everywhere that many are gradually moving to arming themselves. We are afraid to be in church; we have become the security of ourselves after the Owo massacre. If the church can be attacked, no one is safe again".
