Tinubu Used 'Juju' To Win APC Presidential Ticket -Ondo Pastor

Reverend ShalomKelvin Akinbo, the Head Pastor of Doers Nation International Church, in Akure, the Ondo State capital, has suggested that Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), used “strange powers” to secure the ruling party’s ticket.

Reverend ShalomKelvin, however, prophesised that the former Lagos governor will not be the one that would succeed President Muhammadu Buhari when the retired military officer hands over to his successor on 29 May 2023.

Rev. ShalomKelvin, who made the prophecy while addressing his congregation on the ‘Mountain of Prayer’ in Akure, said Tinubu bewitched the Presidency and the top hierarchy of the ruling APC.

“There was a man who bewitched the entire city of Samaria and to him they gave heed that he himself was of a great power but one time he was exposed and humiliated openly and that is what is going to happen to him as I saw in the vision,” said the cleric.

“Sometimes people ask questions like ‘what happened why a word given not come to pass?’ Read John 11:4 where Jesus said ‘this sickness is not unto death.’ Yet the man died and he had to bring him back to life to continue his mission and fulfilled his purpose.

“A word was given to Abraham that he would be the father of nations but before the fulfilment of that word he did something wrong by sleeping with Hagar his maid and she brought forth Ishmael. A year later, the prophecy was fulfilled. God’s words always come to pass.

“What played out before the ruling party’s convention was a manipulation from hell. The people bowed to the god of this world. The ticket given to Mr Bola Tinubu is a stolen ticket. It’s a stolen mandate and would be taken from him.

“Mr Tinubu bewitched the Presidency and the people and took another man’s mandate overnight."

2023: Yahaya Bello, Ahmed Lawan Listed for Bola Tinubu's Running Mate Slot

Sources within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have said that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the party’s presidential candidate, rejected a proposal to select either Senate President Ahmad Lawan or Kogi state governor Yahaya Bello as his running mate for the 2023 presidential race.

Our source learned that Tinubu’s rivals in the APC presidential primary, Lawan and Bello, have been pleading with the president and other key figures to persuade the former governor of Lagos state to pick them as his running mate.

While Tinubu won the primary with 1,271 votes, Lawan polled 152 votes while Yahaya Bello got 47 votes.

Our source, a former Minister in the South-Western part of the country said though Tinubu has no issues with picking a Muslim as his running mate, he flatly rejected both of them as they are direct contestants with him and they have their minds set on becoming president.

“Yes both men (Lawan and Bello) have been making moves to be nominated as vice-presidential candidates but I can assure you that Asiwaju is not considering them at all.

He met with President Buhari shortly before his trip to France and I strongly believe that must have been part of their discussions as both men have been lobbying the president to prevail on Asiwaju to consider them”.

“Even those of who are associates of Asiwaju Tinubu are against their choice as both of them are not strong personalities that can bring the needed votes in the North” he said.

Tinubu who used Ibrahim Masari as a placeholder in his nomination form to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) stated last weekend at the 60th birthday of the Speaker of the House of Reps, Femi Gbajabiamila that he is still in a search of a running mate.

I've Also Lost My Primary School, Teachers’ College Certificates -Tinubu’s VP Placeholder, Masari Confesses to INEC

Mr Kabir Ibrahim Masari, the running mate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu has informed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that his school certificates are missing.

This comes amid the controversy surrounding the supposed loss of Tinubu’s credentials.

Amidst this controversy, his running mate Mr Masari also filed a sworn affidavit for the loss of some original documents to the nation's electoral body.

The affidavit the APC vice-presidential candidate submitted to INEC showed that he misplaced vital documents including the Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) of one plot KT 17522 in Katsina state, his Grade II certificate from Katsina Teachers College and his primary school certificate.

An affidavit sworn by Masari at the Supreme Court and submitted to INEC on July 17, 2022, read partly, “That sometimes (sic) in January 2021, while on transit within Wuse Area, FCT-Abuja, I discovered that my original Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) of Plot, No KT 17522, GRA Katsina, Katsina State; Certificate of Kaduna State Development Centre from 1994 – 1995; Grade II Certificate from Katsina Teachers’ College (KTC) from 1978 – 1983 and First Leaving School Certificate issued by Masari Primary, Katsina State, from 1972 – 1978, got lost.”

“That all efforts made to trace the documents proved abortive hence this affidavit,” the affidavit added.

The electoral law mandates candidates to submit their personal credentials that will be published for public scrutiny ahead of elections.

The APC had submitted Masari's name as Tinubu's running mate for the 2023 presidential election to meet the June 17 deadline given by INEC for its submission. Tinubu, however, later stated that he was still looking for a running mate, confirming reports that Masari's name was submitted as a placeholder, pending when the party would find a running mate for Tinubu.

IBEDC Appeals to Customers to Pay Bills, Says Tariffs are Fixed by NERC

The Management of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) Plc has appealed to its esteemed customers with huge outstanding to pay their bills. This is to avoid any kind of interruption due to the ongoing mass disconnection exercise.

A statement signed by the Chief Operating Officer of the Company (COO), Engr. John Ayodele said IBEDC is embarking on a mass disconnection exercise, because of payment apathy by customers, which is adversely affecting quality service delivery.

“We are retooling our revenue drive strategy to ensure that the monies that have been left uncollected through huge debts, non-payment of bills, underpayment of bills, meter bye-passing, use of illicit meters and energy theft are raked in to enable us to meet our obligations to the customers and the market operators”.

As we all know there has been a major drop in the electricity generated across the country that has invariably caused the reduced power supply to our valued customers; this drop in generation from the GENCOs is also traceable to their inability to pay for gas, which is denominated in dollars.  When customers do not pay for electricity consumed, it has a ripple effect, as we cannot service the electricity value chain.

The COO however urged customers with disputed bills to lodge their complaints at the nearest IBEDC Office to seek redress or adjustments in cases where the claims are genuine and verifiable. Furthermore, he pleaded with customers to obtain their meters under the Meter Asset Provider Scheme (MAP) to put a stop to disputes over billing.

“The meters will record your accurate consumption, so please apply for a pre-paid meter if you are unmetered, if your meters are obsolete or faulty; and if you have a new building.  Visit any IBEDC office in your location or go online to apply for the meters on msms.ibedc.com or www.ibedc.com” he said.

He also explained that customers who purchase meters under the MAP scheme will get their monies back in due course through energy units. On the issue of tariff rates that have generated arguments in some quarters, Engr. Ayodele said only the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has the power to determine what customers should pay for electricity based on their hours of supply.

Gbajabiamila Pride of Lagos, Face of Effective Legislature -Lagos Assembly

Lagos House of Assembly

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, and members of the House on Monday showered encomium on Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of Representatives, who recently clocked 60.

The members of the House spoke during plenary describing Gbajabiamila as one who has brought pride to Lagos State.

Speaking about Gbajabiamila's legislative acumen, Rt. Hon. Obasa described the Speaker of the House of Representatives as “a legislator who carries out his duty with passion and dedication. He has sacrificed his own personal interest in the interest of the people.

"You will recall during the reign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); he was awarded a national honour, but because he had reservations the way and manner the country was being managed then, he rejected the offer.

"This shows that he has always been with the people and serves in the interest of the people. He has also contributed a lot to the development of legislative institutions in this country."

The Speaker thereafter directed the Clerk Barr. Olalekan Onafeko to transmit a congratulatory letter to the celebrant.

The Deputy Speaker, Hon. Wasiu Eshilokun-Sanni, in his congratulatory message described Rt. Hon. Gbajabiamila as an example of what a legislator should be.

"He has shown that the older the wine, the better the legislature," he said.

Majority Leader of the House, Hon Sanai Agunbiade, described Gbajabiamila is a man that is charismatic of the office he occupies.

"He is calm, composed and each time you watch him preside, you would know an experienced legislator is presiding," he said.

The Deputy Whip of the House, Hon. Mosunmola Sangodara, described Rt. Hon. Gbajabiamila as a great leader who has brought developmental projects to Surulere constituency.

"He is a very outstanding man. His success cannot be far-fetched as this trait can be seen in his mother who was once a Local Government chairperson and performed very well during her time," she said.

In his contribution, Hon. Temitope Adewale from Ifako-Ijaye said Speaker Gbajabiamila had shown to the world that there is credence in legislature.

"We are celebrating a man from Lagos who has rose from the ranks to become the 'number four citizen' in the country," he said.

While lending his voice to the debate, Hon. Sa'ad Olumo opined that "Gbajabiamila had done everything in terms of quality representation. He has great impact on us in his capacity and representation."
