Primate Ayodele: changing the form of healing and the prophetic

It would be stating the obvious that churches today are changing the narrative of what it really means to be the Body of Christ.

Even with unproven claim that places of worship are getting rich off their congregation, true Christians can be proud of a House of God like INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church being shepherded by servant of God, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, for instance.

Ayodele runs INRI as a place of worship with a difference because he does care primarily about giving as much as he cares about preaching the Word.

At the core of the Gospel is good news, he would say; good news of hope, healing and salvation for all, adding that being a God’s servant is essentially about love, and message, not just in words but also in deeds.

Because Ayodele’s standard is premised on the fact that God wants to love the world through His servants and the world needs to experience God’s love through them, the Ekiti State born cleric has always made love his propelling force through his ministry’s charity segment with a goal to care for the less privileged like widows, orphaned kids, widowers and indigent students.

“Christianity is more than claiming to be saved or going around preaching the Word,” Primate Ayodele noted as he doled out various food items and cash gift to Muslims at the start of the 2019 Ramadan fasting, “it is also about revealing the true nature of God in how we relate to others, particularly the less privileged. Hence, it is important that we often reach out in any way that we can.”

Primate Ayodele’s fruit bearing deliverance power, and the testimonies that go with it, is the evidence of the wonder-working power of God, as those whose lives are restored take turns amidst cheers to narrate their encounter with divine healing and the restorative power of God at open air crusades organized by the INRI Ministry, including during church services.

A recent case was that of a man named Abdulateef Bello from Ilorin who received permanent healing at INRI after nursing stomach pain for 20 years.

Lateef’s miraculous deliverance, among others’, happened at the ministry’s April prayer meeting where Ayodele had released prophetic blessings and healing through INRI anointed water.

Primate Ayodele, no doubt, is an anointed God’s servant. He is endowed with the gift of prophecy and has always delivered on the purpose of prophecy. In his words, prophecy is there to save mankind from destruction and to protect from deception. “The principal reason is redemptive,” Ayodele situates in support of prophetic messages released through him by God.

“Prophecy is not meant to scare us,” declares the cleric, adding that, “our personal prophecy will mean a lot more to us if we know what prophecy is, how it works and if we prepare our heart to receive it, evaluate it, and act on it.”

Lagos Launches Cyber Security Toolkit or Small Businesses

The Lagos State Government on Fri
day announced the introduction of a cyber security toolkit for small business, a free online resource that small businesses can use to significantly reduce their cyber risk and curtail incidences of cybercrime.

The toolkit, which is a joint effort between the State Ministry of Justice and the Global Cyber Alliance (GCA), is an international, cross-sector effort dedicated to eradicating cyber risk and improving the connected world, while the toolkit also provides real-world tools and clear directions for taking immediate action for reducing cyber risk at a time when the need for such resources has never been greater.

Speaking at the launch of the toolkit, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Adeniji Kazeem (SAN) described the toolkit as a great asset to small businesses, saying that the development would go a long way to tackle the menace of cybercrimes.

According to him, “The major driving force for the deployment of the cyber security toolkit for small businesses in Lagos State is its apparent potential to reduce cybercrime which in-turn has a significant impact on our collective gains as a Ministry that focuses on creating a crime free society.

“The nature of cybercrime goes beyond national boundaries; hence, there is need for international initiative and concerted trans-border joint actions in fighting cybercrime and also providing bulwarks against its perpetration.

“To further its cyber security efforts, the Lagos State Ministry of Justice joined GCA as a partner in support of its mission to eradicate global cyber risk. Small businesses are the lifeblood of a community and provide all manner of essential services and support to individuals, enterprise businesses and government. Even though a business may be small, when it comes to cybercrime the risks are great.”

Kazeem added that the toolkit, which would be regularly updated with input from users, industry experts and public and private partners across the globe, was developed in partnership with Mastercard, while the Global Cyber Alliance also partnered with several additional organizations to create the GCA cyber security toolkit, including the Center for Internet Security, the Cyber Readiness Institute, the City of London and the City of New York.

He said as a thriving State, which encourages inward investment and also supports indigenous Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) which are vulnerable to cybercrime, the initiative was appropriate and timely to the State, assuring that government would further collaborate with relevant stakeholders to make deepen access to the toolkit.

“The Lagos State Government will encourage and collaborate with relevant stakeholders in the business community and regulatory bodies to embrace this cybercrime toolkit for small business as a formidable initiative in fighting cybercrimes and related offences.

“To access the GCA Cybersecurity Toolkit, visit https://gcatoolkit.org/smallbusiness or the website of Lagos State Ministry of Justice www.lagosministryofjustice.org for a redirection to the GCA Website. The Lagos State Ministry of Justice and the GCA will also be conducting a series of webinars on how to protect your business from cybercrime,” Kazeem said.

At the earlier launch of the toolkit, which took place in New York and London on the 19th February 2019, in reiterating the importance of cybersecurity, City of London Police Commissioner Ian Dyson had said: “As the national lead force for fraud and a founding member of the Global Cyber Alliance, we are always pleased to see new initiatives that will assist businesses in improving their cyber security.

“Businesses lost £6.7 million as a result of social media and email accounts being compromised between April and September 2018.
It’s therefore essential that we, as a force, continue to work closely with businesses as well as the organisations that serve to protect them.”

According to Cyrus Vance, Jr., Manhattan District Attorney, “When we launched the Global Cyber Alliance, we set out to empower organizations of all sizes with the tools they need to prevent cybercrime.

“The Global Cyber Alliance’s free Cybersecurity Toolkit provides small- and medium-sized businesses with immediate, concrete steps to protect their companies and customers against crippling cyberattacks, and I thank each of the public and private partners who contributed their world-class expertise.”

On his part, President and CEO of Global Cyber Alliance, Philip Reitinger, said the significant difference between the firm’s Cybersecurity Toolkit and those of others was the fact that it is an action kit, adding that the focus was on protecting small businesses.

“Our focus is on producing a dynamic clearinghouse of operational tools that help small and medium businesses address risk and improve their cyber security posture, leveraging the deep expertise of our network of global partners, such as Mastercard, and the experiences of actual GCA toolkit users,” Reitinger said.

Can we hack into the biological clock that helps dictate our sleep cycles to get more out of our exercise routine?
We’re not there just yet, but recent research is shining new light on the interplay between the body’s circadian rhythm and physical exertion.
A pair of studies conclude that there’s a significant link between time of day and the benefits of exercise.
“We were expecting exercise, just like other forms of modification of our physiology, would be more beneficial, or have a stronger impact, at different times of day and night,”
a director of the Center for Epigenetics and Metabolism at the University of California Irvine and senior author of one of the papers, told Healthline.
“We just didn’t know when, and the simple fact that we did this demonstrates that the clock itself is rewired, or reprogrammed, by exercise in different ways — whether you do that during the day or during the night. We were expecting it, but this has never been done before,” Sassone-Corsi explained.
The two studies looked at lab mice, along with 12 humans. Mice are nocturnal and seemed to get the most benefit from exercising toward the end of their active time — “mouse evening,” in other words.
Humans, meanwhile, are diurnal, meaning they’re active during the day. However, similar results were found between people and mice in the study.
It’s too early to definitively say what time of day is best for effective exercise, but the research does help flesh out how circadian rhythms affect the body.

It’s long been understood that the human body undergoes hormonal changes throughout the course of a circadian cycle.
“We know a lot of things that do change from hour to hour. Some hormones change reliably. Everybody has a built-in body clock,” Dr. Steven Feinsilver, director of sleep medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, told Healthline.
“It affects a lot more than just sleep. Lots of hormones change by the clock. Growth hormone is produced in the middle of the night while cortisol is produced in the early morning,” he said.
Based off this, Feinsilver says it makes sense that certain times of day might work better than others for meeting specific exercise goals.
Still, exercising at times the body is unaccustomed to has the potential to disrupt the body’s natural rhythms.
“A lot of people generally find it difficult to do vigorous aerobic exercise in the evenings and go to sleep,” said Feinsilver. “Might be a great time to exercise in terms of burning calories, but it might be hard to fall asleep after that. Not for everybody, but for a lot of people.”

A 2018 study on National Football League (NFL) athletes dovetails with these two more recent studies.
Data suggests that NFL teams tend to play better during night games (starting at 8 or 9 p.m.) than they do in day games (starting at 1 or 4 p.m.), likely due to circadian rhythms.
There are complicating factors — notably, frequent travel and time zone changes.
But the preliminary findings would appear to fall in line with data suggesting that early evening is the best time for effective exercise.

Humans are naturally diurnal, but many people don’t rise with the sun and go to sleep at night, due to shift work or general sleeplessness.
When it comes to establishing a good sleep pattern — even for shift workers who sleep during the day — the best bet is to utilize the body’s natural reaction to light.
“When you want to wake up at night, find any light you can to put on, or even park yourself in front of a light box to produce full spectrum light for maybe 20 minutes or so,” advises Feinsilver. “And if you’re driving home from work in the morning, wear the darkest sunglasses you can find. If you’re trying to get to sleep in the morning, you don’t want any light, so you need a very dark bedroom.”
It also helps to get the body moving once you get out of bed.
“People who aren’t sleeping very well should take the time to wake up in the morning, get exposed to light, and exercise,” said Feinsilver. “For most people, we tell them to get up, get out of bed, and walk outside. That’s a natural way to wake people up.”
It can be tough maintaining good sleep hygiene. But setting a consistent time to wake up in the morning — no matter how badly you slept the night before — is one way to improve sleep hygiene.
“Nobody can keep a perfect schedule. But the closer you can get to that, the better,” said Feinsilver. “Rule number one is that if your sleep is OK, you can do whatever you want. Nobody has to follow all the rules, necessarily. But if you’re not sleeping well, go back to the basic rules for sleep.”
Following these rules isn’t always easy — particularly when a Netflix binge occupies you long into the night. But the rewards are self-evident.
“You’ll feel better, sleep better,” said Feinsilver. “Sleep is a biological drive. If you don’t mess it up, it tends to work. But we mess it up all the time, and the major way we mess up is not keeping a consistent schedule.”
As researchers tease out more details about the body’s circadian rhythms, more data will be added to the existing body of knowledge.
Sassone-Corsi says he and his colleagues intend to continue delving into circadian rhythms, with the next study incorporating bloodwork.
“The study we just discussed looks at what happens in the muscle,” he said. “But the question is: what happens in other tissues? Is exercise having a similar or different type of effect in the fatty tissues, in the gut, in the brain? How much of that can we reveal by looking at the blood? This is what we’re doing right now.”

Researchers are finding more details on the connection between exercise efficiency and time of day.
There isn’t enough data to recommend exercising at one time or another, but researchers say evening might be the best time to get in your workout.
They also say it’s also important to recognize the role that circadian rhythms play in sleep hygiene.

Apostle Suleman Hosts Crusade, Speaks Peace To South Sudan

It was a time of joyous celebration for Southern Sudanese on Tuesday, April 30 and Wednesday, May 1, 2019, as Nigerian born famous cleric and senior pastor at Omega Fire Ministries (OFM) worldwide, Apostle (Prof.) Johnson Suleman, hosts the latest edition of the ministry’s ‘Open Heavens’ in Juba, the capital city of the Republic of South Sudan.

In addition to his regular preaching of the Word and restoring lives through healing and touching lives personally, Apostle Suleman used the opportunity of the two-day Apostolic campaign to speak directly to the conscience of the mass participants at the Nyankuron Cultural Centre, venue of the crusade.

The experience indeed was an emotional one, as many were touched to understand that Southern Sudan must remain a peaceful nation, and recognize the challenges of the past and take positive steps to repent, recover, and rebuild not only their nation but also their personal lives. The eager Southern Sudanese defied all to ensure that they heard from God through the Nigerian cleric and also get solution and spiritual assurance that will keep them and their country through the challenges of the time.

The crusade, as usual, recorded ground-breaking testimonies, as diverse ailments including terminal diseases that lasted for a long time in the lives of many, bowed to the commands of prayer by Suleman.

Understanding the impact of oneness, Apostle Suleman, illustrating with the Scriptures, enjoined the congregants to stay committed to the Christian unity and inter-religious cooperation which is the backbone of peace the country enjoys. “We pray for peace in this nation,” the cleric beseeches, as the crowd chorused a thunderous ‘amen’!

The Southern Sudan programme was a mind blowing experience, a raw power that manifested positively in every aspect based on personal testimonies given by the participants.
