Veteran Comedian, Baba Suwe, Is Dying! *abandoned by colleagues

Inside sources told The Status that since his celebrated arrest and humiliation for alleged drug smuggling by the NDLEA, Babatunde Omidina a.k.a. Baba Suwe, has never remained his lively self.
He's down with an unknown sickness, claimed sources.
The star humorist, The Status gathered,

went down physically, financially and professionally, no thanks to his colleagues and close allies in the theatre business who have shown lack of interest in his case since 2016 when he literally disappeared from the social radar.
A younger artiste, Yomi Fabiyi, it was who brought Baba Suwe’s case to the public knowledge three years ago. Whilst he appealed to the public and colleagues to help him back on his health, Fabiyi added that the veteran comic star was down financially too and needed funds to return to life, literally.
Once the toast of most Nigerian families for his creative humour on TVs and later home videos, Baba Suwe, weighed down by the psychological trauma borne out of the public opprobrium experienced in the wake of his time with NDLEA, soon fell ill after his arrest and has yet to recover.
Baba Suwe’s actress wife and confidant, Omoladun, died in 2009. Those in the know say that that was the real genesis of Baba Suwe’s fast descent into social and professional worthlessness.
A Lagos based seasoned radio broadcaster (who pleaded anonymity) during the investigation, informed The Status that no one among Baba Suwe’s friends and professional colleagues was willing to help solve his challenge.
Prodded to expatiate, the radio man who claimed he had personally called out such big names like Oga Bello, Jide Kosoko, Dele Odule, Mr. Latin and others on the comedian’s present sorry state, stated that he felt they were running away from Baba Suwe not because he was not good to them but because they are selfish in nature.
"Baba Suwe is a good man. None of his people can say he is bad. And they are not helping him not because he behaved badly to them. They are not helping him because they care only about their family. That’s the nature of our actors, there is no exception. Imagine the caliber of people I told you
I had spoken to about Baba Suwe’s case, yet none looks his way yet.
But if, God forbid, he dies from the problem, they would be all over the place eulogising his qualities which they helped killed by their lack of empathy," the broadcaster notes.
Attempts by The Status to speak with any of the names mentioned were futile as their phones were either unavailable or went unanswered. The current location of Baba Suwe was also not known as he was said to have been moved from his once bustling Ebute Metta, Lagos office.

"Jumia Food MD, Guy Futi, Not Arrested" ...management

A story making the rounds that the managing director of Jumia Food, Mr Guy Futi, was arrested has been debunked by the management. The management of Jade Internet Services, owners of Jumia Food said in the statement signed by Mr. Seyi Oni,  its chief legal officer, Jumia Food stated that Mr Futi was never arrested by the police for fraud and conversion of company’s funds for personal use, as reported.

Below is the statement;

“The current Managing Director of Jumia Food Nigeria, Mr Guy Futi neither misappropriated the company’s funds nor converted them for personal use. If this had happened, Jumia would have taken legal action against him, and probably involved the press. He was never involved in any fraudulent act. Mr Futi was invited for questioning by the Nigerian Police Force on Thursday, January 31st, 2019 in relation to an ongoing case of fraud filed by Jumia Food against one of its vendors, Castle Logistics Services.
Mr Futi was never detained by the police. He was invited for questioning and left the station after the interrogation same day. At the time the incident for which Jumia took legal action against Castle Logistics occurred, Mr Futi had not joined the company.

The allegation of fraud by Castle Logistics is thus a malicious attempt to distract Jumia Food from carrying out legal action against the company.”

Apostle Suleman’s Ministry Clocks 15, Hosts ‘The Ebenezer 2019’

It is another moment of unusual grace at the popular Auchi, Edo State, Nigeria based church of God, the Omega Fire Ministries (OFM) as great testimonies have been pouring in during the church’s New Year edition of its annual life-restoring programme.

This year’s edition tagged ‘The Ebenezer 2019’, it was gathered, was started on Wednesday 6th of February and will span four days, climaxing with a special service on Sunday 10th of February, 2019, to mark the ministry’s 15th anniversary.

The yearly ‘The Ebenezer’, powered by Apostle Johnson Suleman and his wife, Dr. Lizzy Suleman, is normally attended by people from over 20 nations of the world, as OFM, founded in 2004 and now with branches in about 55 countries, is ranked among the fastest growing God’s ministries in the world.

The three days preceding the ‘Anniversary Day’, will be characterized by ministering with Words of God and healing based on OFM’s ideology as a church inspired to bring the joy of salvation to humanity. As the programme enters its second day on Thursday, some spectacular wonders were recorded; afflictions were cured and people restored to their natural destinies.

As the programme advances to Sunday when the anniversary’s big cake is expected to be cut amidst giving charity and empowering church members and foreigners by Apostle and Reverend (Mrs.) Lizzy Suleman, Auchi has remained on standstill with the influx of participants to the international headquarters of OFM as they crave for blessings from the divinely anointed couple.
